My 2 cents: Mamahet, I get your desire to "get the story straight" on Mark's behalf. As you may have noted, it isn't going so well. You need to step back and let Marco speak on this if he wants to. It is not your fault, but the reality is that you are still too new here to get a fair hearing. Like many things in life, it ain't fair but it is how it is happening.

All others following this: If you haven't noticed we have some good MODS here. I agree with TutorMe. I've been here for many years and we've had some BAD MODS, its true. But the current batch is VERY good folk. But this has got me thinking. I'm not sure of the answer, but I promise you this will be discussed by some of the most senior people who REALLY care about this site.

Mamahet, I will say that I think you have pegged eve wrong. I talk to her on a frequent basis, and she has always been a great person. I think se felt attacked, and responded. I would have likely responded the same way. Reading the comments in the post under discussion, it's easy to get the feeling that she was being attacked.

With that said, Marco apologized for going about it the way he did. Wether it was meant as an attack is irrelevant. By continually confronting eve directly, you are not helping to prove your point that it is not an attack. I wouldn't expect eve to back down until you stop trying to convince her that you're right. Wether you are or not is also irrelevent. To diffuse the situation, you have to make a consession first. Afterall, you are the one who brought this up.
