Hi, I'm new to photoshop, so I'm having some trouble figuring out how to get rid of the flash glare for this photo that I want to touch up for a contest at school. Here is what the picture looks like, and I really want to get rid of the flash reflection/glare. If someone could tell me how to do it or show me how to do it, it would be extremely helpful.

If you took the picture yourself it seems like it would be easier to make sure there's no glare while you're taking the picture.

If you didn't take the picture yourself I would sugest to cut all the elements out and put another table in, but I'm sure you thought about that one and that's why you're asking for ways that would be easier.

Anyone knows a simpler way to do this?

I experiment. Used 3 exposure adjustment layers set to Multiply and then selectively adjusted the mask. Not perfect at all.

I think the problem is that the table top becomes blown out by the flash and you lose the details of the surface.

Might be easier to re-stage the photo and use a bounce flash?

For myself, I think the photo would be less interesting without the sheen, but opinions are like noses, everybody has one.
