Yo, Mista Jordan!?
Any idea how big a file size we will be allowed? Will I be able to use more than a (mind blowing) 32 colours in my palette??

Is it ok to use image ready? Because my photoshop is version 7.0, you know that guys, no animation function!.
If it's ok, count me in! This will be my first practice!

Yep, Imageready is part of photoshop ,
just no 3D programs if you catch my drift

Yup -  Image Ready, Fireworks, Photoshop CS3 & Cs4. 
No FLASH stuff though. That would be CHEATING. And CHEATERS get SPANKED!!!!

BIG TIP FOR GIFFY BEGINNERS:
Keep It SIMPLE.
The less gradients (soft blurred transitions) and the less colours in your image, the better it will eventually optimize.
Also, avoid hyperactive badgers or other fast moving rodents - these tend to annoy the MODs.
