Like most new users and beginners at photoshop I'm having problems with image size being accepted on this site. Even as an advantage member, with an image that says 526x350 pxl and image size of 4.5x7.3 inch's and and file size of 123KB's it still wont go.
Now most people who respond to this type of question will answer that I will need to adjust the image size or file size to the required size's. Ok I get that. But how do I do that because as far as I can tell I've done all that and it still does not go! How about a step by step instruction on how you start your project or how you check to see if you image is the right size before you send it and if it's wrong how you correct it.
The worst part is that some of my work will go and some wont and I can't figure out how I got it to work the first time?!?!?

Any help would be a relief.
TY

Advantaged members may post an image of 1280X960 pixels. It must be under 512kb. Use "Save for Web" and post it.

Tried it all. Tried saving for the web. It tells me it's only 242 KB ...still wont go. There must be a bit more of a complete checklist of requirements that include whatever it is I'm missing here. I'm puzzled as to why I seem to have every thing right and still no luck.

Mind me asking... why save for web?

I usually use save as PNG or Jpeg

To make the file size smaller.

...and you can click "optimize for file size" where you can enter your desired file size (for example 500kb, than the image will not be larger than 500kb)
