seriously Chris... what´s up with the blur in the borders????

I guess I was trying to achieve a "bokeh" effect.

bokeh (the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light) is something completely different

Bokeh - (derived from Japanese word "boke", meaning 'blur') - In photography, refers to the creative use of lens blur as a composition technique. The aim of bokeh is to deliberately blur the background or foreground (or both) in order to draw the viewer's attention to a particular area of the photo. One method of achieving Bokeh involves using a lens with a wide aperture setting, which in turn produces a narrow depth-of-field. It should be noted that some lenses tend to be more suited than others for achieving such an effect. Central to achieving effective bokeh is an understanding of the concept of depth-of-field (dof).

Bokeh: This is a Japanese word that is used by photographers to describe how the out of focus sections of an image look - ie, a nice smoothe non distracting blur, or a rough, disjointed blur. While bokeh changes from lens to lens, it is also a matter of personal opinion - what may look like bad bokeh to someone in a photo, may look pleasant to another person.

I guess I was trying to achieve a "bokeh" effect. Did that one in about 5 minutes so I didn't take the time to look at any tuts on the effect.
