I think one of the coolest things about Hockey is how the goal has a sensor-system to verify when the puck enters.
Imagine how frustrating it would be for your team to score but it not be count......eh, never-mind.

Actually there are no sensors but they have cameras installed in various locations that cover the net. While this does not eliminate all the "injustices" it certainly improves the odds of a correct decision.

My pleasure, come over to our house next winter food is good, rent well you can stay at my place for free, I'll get my sister to lend you some skates and we will get on the ice with some 13 year old boys, I know some of them have reached puberty, but you have to start somewhere. After that I can get good ice level seats at the Hamilton Bulldogs game and you can see first hand what it is like to have a 6' 3 - 220 lb guy skate inches from where you are and then launch a frozen puck at nearly 100mph.
PS I would keep the gay comments well pretty quiet until we are far far away. While life on the planet is not always perfect I'm not quite ready to leave yet.
