Thank you all for my 100th win.
Here is how to make sugar crystals.
I found a picture close up sugar on line and made a brush. I'll save you some steps.

Open this image


in Photoshop and go to EDIT/DEFINE BRUSH PRESET.
Call it sugar crystals.
Apply these settings



Find a cookie.


Make sure your background and foreground colors are set to black and white.

Create a new layer and set it to "screen"

Then brush in your sugar.


Add a drop shadow for added realism.

You can also drop the opacity if needed and erase any crystals that look floaty.
Ain't it sweet?

Great tutorial, I'll have to try that. Congrats on the 100th win. Am sure there will be many more to come. But careful on sharing too many of your inside secrets and tutorials, it will make the competition for future wins that much harder.
