Yup. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

Yep. Hosting your own images had some advantages though as you didn't have the size limitations and could have your own "go big". Problem was you could quickly run out of hosting space and/or bandwidth. So I had entries scattered all over the web.

I don't remember. I only had a few gif's I think. My favorite was the handicap sign that I animated into doing a wheelie and peeling out. I'll have to dig that up.
