(Besides, the "bye" system is confusing enough for some people, and to allow them an "optional" entry would have only muddled the matter even further.)

Why am i not in the h2h i singed up and was looking forward to it but im not in the line up what gives ???
never mind i found my name on the bracket so i guess it means i wait until next round ?

I'm seeing a number of members ask this question. If you signed up and aren't listed in Round 1.... you have a bye. Stick around, vote for round 1 and buckle up for round 2. Don't vacate PSC thinking that you aren't in the tournament.
I'm pretty sure there will be a few no-shows due to laziness on reading rules, a number of forum threads and chat. I'm not going to PM everyone who has a bye.

I think next year there should be an impetus for those who have a bye to chop the first round source.
Not only will it add said chop to their portfolio, but could also be part of a separate mini competition, where it's still anonymous, but you vote on whoever on the long list. There could be some sort of "consolation" prize or whatever. Or it could just be for fun or bragging rights.
