A girl I know would like to join PSC. However, I strongly advise you not to accept her request in this fine community, for long time ago she showed me her nipples in public! Seriously, I saw really nice entry in one of the contests which caused big debate. It shows female body in the artistic manner and in my opinion there is nothing vulgar in it, but according to some members it should be disqualified for showing nipples. Why so much hypocrisy? I will give you some examples of work that might be considered more offending then the work mentioned above

That is only my work. A question is, are we grownups who can tell difference between indecent exposure and art or we are just jealous ones?

I know for a fact that if there were no nipples, life would not suck Razz

Rolling Eyes Neither of your examples relevant. Neither are 'artistic nudes'
One could argue that Playboy is artistic nudity.

SO... Is this a PG site where kids, along with so called 'grown-ups' can participate? OR is it now an Adult NSFW nude artistic site like DeviantArt?

One my work has blocked, the other... Not yet.
One I show to my kids, the other... Not yet.

I in particular don't think the entry in question is vulgar or porn. I think its an awesome entry. But under the current rules, does it belong here? There in lies the problem. This site started and has gone on FOR YEARS as a non-nudity, kid friendly site. Where anything, including ass crack was deleted... even the word "P O R N" gets switched to "porn" here...

There is plenty of artistic nude stuff over at DeviantArt. I have no issues with it there... You have to sign-up as an adult +18 or as a child. Which will either entitle you to either view the nude 'art' entries or have it blocked out.

And yeah, I get that you can go to the art gallery and see the same thing, sometimes even worse... But that doesn't mean it 'has' to go on here...

Fact of the matter is, there are many here who have very strict work environments, which would end up either getting them fired, or at best, have the site (PSC) blocked from their servers.

It's not a matter of jealousy, its not a matter of knowing artistic from vulgar... Its not Hypocritical.
PSC has to either allow all nudity as a form of art, and make that statement known that this is a NOT SAFE FOR WORK website, or it needs to uphold its STRICT policy of NO Nudity. Artistic or otherwise.

I also know for a fact that you can make 4-5lbs. of fat simply irresistible by adding a nipple Wink

Maybe as a compromise, PSC needs to look into having members check a box saying

"OK to view Adult material".

That way guests, and/or members who don't wish to, will not see nude 'art'.

It's only a nipple for Christ's sake. What the hell is wrong with some people.

OK children, you can be exposed to as much violent imagery as you like but don't look at boobies. They will corrupt your fragile little minds.

Nobody seems to complain about their children seeing violent imagery here.

Not, just the nipples Embarassed Maybe it is time that PSC evolves and enables the adult content button.

I think what might do the trick would be like how 500px deals with nude images. Maybe...just maybe.
Might be a viable option.

I think some people can't tell the difference between art and adult content.

I think that the nipples are not a problem here. If I understood correctly TheShaman is trying to address an issue of double standards because his work was disqualified in the past for showing nudity. It happened to me also on some other sites and I know how it hurts, especially if you put lots of effort in it. If that is a case I can understand his discontentment. If not, then... Rolling Eyes

DING DING DING DING but no, not because I've had disqualified work...

And BTW I'm not even in this contest in question.

An adult content button would solve all the problems.
