How come nobody talks about corn these days? I find the lack of conversation on this subject deeply saddening.

OK ...

The corn plant has both male and female parts.

As with most species ....the female part is the silk

... while the male part is the tassel.

Each tassel releases as many as 5 million grains of pollen.

( corn production measures more than 2 times that of any other crop )

Jesus never ate corn and especially corn with bacon. Not kosher you know and besides no one then had heard of corn until the white man came to North America and the native people gave them corn. The white man not wanting to seem ungrateful gave the Indians smallpox and syphilis. The Indians in return introduced the white man to tobacco which for them was a sacred herb and for the white man a carcinogenic adiction. So ends my corny little story.
