If it is not chopped, then his camera shots images that looks like chopped.

It's obviously chopped. The reflection (on top of the water) would extend all the way to the viewer (past the girl). Or before the girl. In other words from the elephant to the viewer over the girl in the water. What would obscure the reflection? Even if there were a covering over the water you would see a reflection of that on the water. Try taking a picture over the surface of water without any reflection.
