can someone please tell me what chop means. i keep seeing nice chop, TERRIBLE chop and crap like that, so someone please tell me what this means

As I understand it, if a person does a "good chop" it means they he/she has digitally manipulated an image to create an intended effect using color, light, shadows, integration of another picture, theme, setting, composition and a host of other variables that may be assigned as criteria in defining what a "good chop" is. Those variables can be very subjective depending on the evaluator,so that what one person thinks is a "good chop" may be seen by someone else as sheer nonsense. Therefore a "good chop" may be like some other things that are hard to define, you simply know them when you see them. And most really good work is almost instantaneously recognized by most people as being of superior quality and a "good chop".

it's just a word which comes from photoshop, -shop --> chop.. that's what i always think.
