Hi!

Is it possible to pixelate an image / picture (like in a newspaper... (as in: http://www.photoshopcontest.nl/tutorials/golf/polka4.gif) in one colour, for example purple?!

How do I do this?!

Anyone?!

I attempted to look at the image you posted, but it won't load on my monitor. I suspect it is a dead file. I'm not sure, if you mean, color a whole picture one color, or only a set of pixels within an individual picture.. Smile

I would like to do this same effect with a picture... and in only one colour... (like purple or so...)

Is this possible?!

I've tried everything that I know...

If you go under FILTERS and then PIXELATE and then COLOR HALFTONE - that will give you a simular effect.

Filter - Sketch - Halftone Pattern is a different but simular feeling effect.

Under IMAGE - ADJUSTMENTS - POSTERIZE you can get some pretty funky chunky effects too if you keep the level number low (4~6).

A lot of the end result will depend on your original source image. If it is B&W or grayscale, colour or desaturated, etc.

PLAY AROUND and BEWARE OF THE FISH! Shocked

I think you can get that effect by going under Filter, then Pixelate, then Color Halftone. Changing the size of the picture and changing those settings will give you different results.

Then to make it all one color, go under Image, and then Mode and select Grayscale.

That will make it black and white, but then go under Image again, then Mode and select Duotone. In there go under Type, then select Monotone.

That will change it to one color again, then click the black square ( I think by default it's black )

Then you can make it any color you want!

hope this helped.
Very Happy

Try turning all the channel amounts to ZERO on the COLOR HALFTONE thang - its pretty funk-o-munkey! Very Happy
