I'm just wondering if anybody else believed that todays "Hungry bird" picture was a chopped picture? The eye and head appear to be from a fish and the fish head does not appear to be squarely centered on the birds beak which I'm assuming was chopped from another bird picture. The bird's body has an air of authenticity, but I'm not certain that it isn't a compilation of feathers arranged to look like a bird body. I'm not complaining, just noting with interest.. Smile

hmm...

Could be if you looked hard enough. But, imo, it's probably real.

Hi Roba..
You might be right, but here are the illustrated displays of why I am still confused.
However, maybe I just don't know enough about a bird's anatomy to really make an
accurate judgement.

Someone might have used a macro lens for it. Those shots tend to blur out certain parts.
That could be why, not sure.

You never know though. Wink

It looks real to me, with the exception of the area that you marked poor integration. I think that can be explained by movement, blurring from the bird moving it's beak. It's not easy to take pictures of wildlife, they move quickly and do not cooperate. MO is that it's real.

Why is it such a big deal whether the picture is pre-chopped or not. Most of the "Featured Pics" are of poor to so-so quality to start with.Maybe I should post this somewhere else, but it would be nice to have highere quality images to start with, like on the competitons site(photoshop face-off)I am not posting this to get any feathers ruffled(pardon the pun) but if it does then so be it.

Wel- I've been waiting for days for someone else to bring this up-
but noone said nothing--
The horse is missing the lower half of it's rear
right leg and the guy has no legs from the knees down.
AND the horse is completely airborne---horse do NOT lift all four feet off the ground like that.
I guess it's possible the guys legs are just at a funny angle but the horse leg i just can't figure at all.

I noticed the horses rear leg too. To me, it looks like the guy has legs though.

the guy has legs, you can clearly see his black shoes near the horses, ah, rear end. He just has thick snow-clothing on so it appears that his legs are stubby, but you can see where his knees bend, too. as for the horse airborne, horses can be trained to run that way, hence the funky stance. as for the rear leg, I don't know if its just between the wheels orwhat, but I know I sure as hell wouldnt want MY lap right behind that area of a horse...
