I guess pain is relative-
I know for me at least - if gas were to hit $6.00 a gallon I'd be out of work.
Already independant truck drivers allover the country are parking their trucks and
are out of work.
You'll start feeling it soon allover the country--a lot of things are not gonna be making it to the super market-
it's impossible for a guy to make a living getting a dollar a mile and paying over three dollars a gallon for diesel--
I'm stinking worried -lost half a day of work today just trying to get diesel-
a usual 15 minute proposition.

the cheapest I can find gas in my town is $3.29

here's a rumor I herd:

Gas is going to keep rising until its around $4.50-$5.00 a gallon. It'll stay that way until the winter. Then in the midst of the snow, gas prices will drop to $2.00 a gallon.

After paying $4.50 -$5.00 a gallon for months, $2.00 wont seem expensive, it'll seem like a deal. And then the big gas people will make more profits.

--thats what i herd is going on.

HK, something else to consider. Unlike SOME countries, there is usually more than 60 feet between towns here.

We do a lot more driving because there's a lot more distance to cover.

But $4 a gallon gas will be GOOD for the country. Just ask "W". Rolling Eyes
