WOW_ if Show could set that up, why he'd be totally amazing- it is a cool idea.

The 4 different starting time is a good idea, but i think that 2 would be more fun: it would concentrate more people and energy at the same time. I like the idea of everybody trying to be as fast as possible to be the first to post... maybe 2 different pics for 2 different times so that the most addicted can play twice ?

Here is my suggestion, came to me in a dream last night. I don't know how doable it is, but they threw a piece of metal from earth and hit mars, so here goes:

What if, upon downloading an image, you set off a timer for say 30 minutes. At the end of the 30 mins, your portal to upload the image closes, therefore, you cannot upload. (see how this works?)

the contest could be open for 24 hours before anyone can vote. Therefore, time zone things don't matter. After 24 hours, voting can start.

Only one image can be downloded per person, and, if you're in the same predicament as our friens Arcaico and Hellman, then, you could each write a 500 word essay, in the language of your choice, explaining why you should be allowed to download twice.

And, even as a low-Canadian, I feel that if somehow you need to cheat at this, then you've got more problems than a drunk looking for a black cat in a basement during a power outage. But that's another story all together. Just let me say this, just because it's fuzzy and breathing, doesn't mean it's the cat.

this sounds fun... maybe even I can join in. I don't have advantage right now, so that's the only reason I haven't done any contests lately. I never get up early enough to join in fast enough without it!

I like the idea of different angles on the contest. And I really like mikey's idea about the "masterpiece" contest...although advantage people get almost a week if they want it, as it is.

I've got a bunch of pics I didn't submit to jmh...I'd be willing to donate one and "sit this one out" in order to not have an advantage. Sounds fun...
