I know, Wendy. thats what I always think about those kinds of commercials. Like the ones that show "an older tv w/o HD" and it's all crappy and grainy, then they show a shot of a tv "with HD" and its nice and clear. But you're watching it on an old tv without HD, so obviously it looks as good through your tv as the commerical shows.

I'm not sure why Scion's posts keep getting deleted, but after catching a glimpse of one before it was removed, I didn't find it any more offensive than ones that state "As for America, (no offence) a lot of you guys are so dumb..." or ones that endorse stupid Americans killing each other. But , hey... who am I to say.

Anyhoo, I thought I should mention that while I agree with some of Scion's comments (while they lasted), he seems to be confusing Holland and Denmark. The cartoons were published in a Danish paper. Apples and oranges...

People were killing each other long before guns...logically speaking...it is the human (and animals for that matter) that feels the need to kill. Certain tools just make it more convienent. That doesn't change the fact that someone had to make the decision to kill.

I think you've had a hell of a blessing , having a life in a place where guns can seem
useless and irrelevent...may I point out that one unavoidable reason for the place where you live being so safe that you do not need a gun , is the fact that your present safety was bought in the past...by other men... who bought your present state of freedom..
at the end of a gun.

Just as an experiment, I'd love to see America put away all her guns for a little while,
stop playing world police altogether..be all 'peaceloving'.........we're certainly not the ones that will suffer any loss from that, hell, the money we'll save in taxes..HA! We'll be living it up.

exactly what FF said. Making it illegal to own and purchase guns isn't going to make criminals stop using them. All it will do is keep honest people who don't intend to go kill someone from purchasing them. the Illegal gun market isn't going to stop if guns are outlawed. It'll just leave everyone else more vulnerable.

I can make a gun from a lipstick tube, miracle grow, and shoe polish...
not to mention all the non-explosive ballistic launchers available these days--
we'll have to ban nails,air compressors and tenis ball tubes for starters...
and my little fench shorty speargun is pretty dang deadly...
then there's cars.....them Dutch all driving around in them
cars..why they could vere off the road and smoosh someone at any time.
Those stupid dutchies driving around in deadly weapons everyday..it's imoral.
