[EDITED - See my comment below] A very basic play on binocular parallax. If you're not familiar, back away from the monitor, focus on an object (i.e. the bird) & let your eyes fuse the images. They should 'snap' when they come together, appearing 3D (S |

seems that someting about the guy's position(s) keeps it from lining up exactly in 3D, but you deserve a vote for an extremely unique idea.

It was working better when they were closer together, methinks. Argh, you have some crazy eyes, dude, I just can't get it to work. Since you actually edited it regarding my problem, I'll give you a vote for the effort. Rare happening right there... :)

hmm...It almost works. I see them trying to merge, but it just doesn't "click," as you say. I've done these before, so I know it's not me. If it worked I'd vote, but...it isn't, for me, at least. Sorry, dude. @Micose I tried that but i

Mason-I probably separated the objects too much to make it snap easily. The X, bird & lightning bolt are the moved objects. Plus each are different focals. I just guesstimated. Thanks anyway, all in fun! [and learning]

I reworked the image & parallax (I accidently flattened the original layered file, bad PS discipline). It is much better now and more obvious, I have no problem seeing the 3D. I included the text this time too. Thanks for your input and votes. Regards!

Hi Feral and thanks! Let your eyes fixate for a bit. You will have to focus on the guy, and focus differently on the X, etc. They are at different focal depths (the guy will 'double' when the X is focused and vice versa) simulating varied depths.

thanks for the note...this is a really cool and original idea, so i don't want to sound like a hater. but when the X and box line up as one, there's still two guys, one behind the other. i dunno. maybe my eyes are dumb.
