I like the way he looks like he has his elbow on the counter. 2 things (that i could be wrong on ) 1, his color is different then the back ground. 2) the light is coming from wrong side. (If im right) im still learning. overall, I LIKE IT!

so I think if you take some of the lightness out of his face, gave it more of a red/orange hue and added some noise it would look more like hes there in the scene
