try moving the lizard against the static background rather than the opposite.

Agree with gran. The jerkiness isn't working. Moving all the background pixels eats up valuable kb. Have the lizard come in just off screen and exit out the other for a smooth anim. You may or may not need to reduce the size of the lizard.

I was going to move him off the screen on the left, but ran into the file-size problem again. But if I make him move more per frame (and jumpier) or loose more color (bleck)... ARG! -- Why did the lizard cross the road???
