thanks Vokaris...you are right I missed a layer but it is the left window behind Tom (it's supposed to be brighter),the right hand side is just the dark part of the moon image stretched to the bottom,and I left the castle column tapered slightly outward.

@ T I know where the light source should be,as the shadows indicate,but I took the liberty of putting the moon in the image for dramatic purposes,with a stretch of the imagination pretend the moon is slightly in front of the castle instead of behind it.

no halogen in the middle ages Ted...I think it we'll have to settle for a medieval candle powered street lamp...oh and no medieval brassiere for that matter-she is wearing a breast supporting undergarment ;)
