MRXICT
this is very well done! maybe shadow wall back more to create depth
Luxwiz
thanks MRXICT see what I can do when I get a chance

I agree. I think the shadows look unnatural. it is going left on top and to the right on the base.
trsuk1
looks like you put a lot of work into this so never mind the shadows.well done
Luxwiz
thanks for the nice comments guys,as for the shadow discrepancy,Pancho it is impossible to have coherent shadows throughout the entire image since it is all source and I had to change perspectives on parts to create the new image so I had to make do

BG... my first image had Shiva very close to the back wall and shadows as sharp as on original...on MRXICT suggestion I distanced and diffused the shadows to create more depth between Shiva and the wall... original chop: [img] oi66.tinypic.com...

I like the upd. version better myself...I guess I could find a happy medium between the two but I think I'll move on :)

thanks trsuk1 :)

Yeah I see why you did it. I actually prefer the shadows on your original image. :) but both look nice.

It's good, but what I mean is that shadows are a natural occurrence, they only have one rule, shade from the light source, unless there is more than one light source.
Luxwiz
well as I ssid before pancho due to the reconstruction of Shiva from the source it is impossible to do coherent shadow work so just use your imagination to go beyond the shadow inconsistencies and see the merit of the work in creating Shina from hinge

Shiva from source hinge

Congratulations!

Lux it wouldn't have been impossible :) lol but congrats and nice win!
Luxwiz
thanks Doug and BG... well BG going by the all the contradictory highlights in the image how would you put the shadows so they would be coherent with their respective light sources...
Luxwiz
the highlights indicate light sources from all different directions, some from upper left, from lower left, some from the right others from straight above and some from below...
Luxwiz
so you tell me how would the shadow for the general image be oriented so it would be coherent with all the individual light sources ?
MRXICT
Good idea! Congratulations!

Congrats... Really like this one. VERY clever. So clever in fact, that I was willing to overlook the lighting issue. Like you said... All source...very little could be done without an extensive Ammount of work. Well done, Lux!

BigGame3113
You could've given it several very light, sharper shadows from different angles, or flipped some of the pieces to put the light on the same side. It wouldn't have been 100% perfect but would've helped.

BigGame3113
But like others are saying, the shadow can be overlooked in this chop. And I've definitely seen many worse shadows. Congrats again.
