Seriously buddy, it has to be. The options for optimising animated GIFs are much more limited than jpeg - basically you get 3 compress options in IR and this is the second lowest (the lowest looked real bad. I think this GIF has a larger pixel area than m

Did you optimize it so that it only has the part that changed on the second frame? I do that to my animated pictures for my webpage that I am working on. In the GIMP it is filters->animation->optimize(for gif). You can get it for free and make smaller
