I take it that the light is supposed to be projecting the pictures onto the back wall? If so the pictures on the back wall are different from the ones in the middle

it makes sense to me -- it's a comment on domestic violence. That's why the pics are different than those being projected... cause (inner chamber) --> effect (outer chamber). I don't know the author, that's just how it seems to me. Too bad I can't vote
