I took the image and applied Distort/Polar coordinates and got a cool looking volcanoe like mountain. I used the brush tool to paint in leaves and foliage. I created a bubble and found a castle to put in it. Found the eagle and tweaked colors. Made rays

Hey bluesbro, The rock is the source. Open the source image in photoshop. Go to filter/distort/polar coordinates. Check the polar to rectangular box. That will turn the image into this mountain. Try it, you will see.
