The other made me smile and is a good start at water integration. A slight edge / ripple where the surface of the water touches the gator would help. This one is excellent from the manipulation of the source to make it more 3-D to the reflections (and shadows) from all those light sources. There's something I can't quite put my finger on that doesn't quite work, but overall it's an excellent chop.
