Re: badcop: The steps are symbolic. It's about looking straight ahead, not behind. It's about time to forget the past, to forget their "victim mentality" and to acknowledge they are both part of the problem. We're in 2006, it's maybe time to wake up! :)

I guess you wouldn't be the first person from Quebec to burn the Israeli flag

Claf
You know, hatred isn't part of our culture... we dont burn flags! :)

You could have just as easily chosen to burn a Canadian flag next to a Taliban flag. Canadians are also fighting a terrorist faction and killing a lot of innocent civilians in the process including a 10 year old boy just yesterday.

oh! looks like badcop thinks it's OK to burn other flags as long as it's not his

I have no problem about burning a Canadian flag. No big deal! :)

I don't think you know what my flag is, Paul.

You know, I live in Canada... so I'm suppose to be Canadian... but I just dont feel like that! :)

HAHA! It's ok to kill a country's people...as long as you don't burn their flag! Man, what a race!

Just to clarify, I don't care about the flag burning. I understand it's an easy way to evoke a reaction and that's what happened here. I just disagreed with your belief that Israel and Hezbollah are on the same level.

whatever. politics. nice flame effect.

I just brought an idea, something symbolic. The meaning of the burning flags was about showing hatred between each other. I never pretended they are on the same level. But the problem is from both sides.

But anyway, in fact, I think my idea is utopic. It looks like war is part of human nature. I dont know if one day humanity can live without it.
