no one seems to be noticing that the perspective on the stone hive is all wrong

i took some liberties with perspective on this so I could get my hive shape right. the pipe was a last second addition but I felt it supported the message. would lower the horizon to help grand perspective if I had it to do over. still fun to come back!

i updated the pipe with some much needed perspective and added the link which inspired this post.

I still think the perspective is off. You should be able to see into those smoke stacks. ....It's still my fav.

Rey²: I tend to disagree. You would only see the top of the smoke stack if it were below the horizon. Perhaps the top levels of the hive should look flatter for a more correct perspective. link: [img] i36.tinypic.com...

Vokaris: Instructive GIF. What software did you use to make it?

Jasper: Thanks for the link. Disturbing stuff. Be careful with links on the site, though. I inadvertantly clicked one and ended up with an explosion of IE instances. It was like getting Rick Rolled.

IMPO this was one of the best of the contest. Great job jasper. One of several that easily could have made top 3.
