My only criticism is the shadow of the lure is much lighter than the shadow of the photo and seems to be cast in somewhat random directions. Other than that it is lovely.

I struggled with the shadows on this Al. The idea was that the rear of the "lure" was on the same surface as the photo and that, from the rear, the lure angles up because it is attached to the fishing line. the shadow was done in a manner that I hoped wo

They are for me too Show. On the recent spider post I created a separate shadow layer and then selected parts of the shadow and rearranged them and, in some cases twisted the angle and distorted them trying to give the impression of shadows cast from part

I struggle with how to create "correct" shadows too...but usually I just go for an overall feeling and don't worry too much. The only part of the shadows on your post here that bother me a bit are the ones on the tassel things... on the top one, I'd lesse

Thanks EJH...Al is so nitpicky...He should just let us go with the feelings instead. ;) Seriously, I was hoping no one would notice the tassels :) I just didnt find a good way to do it and decided this was as good as it gets. you made some great points
