Good pic. However, knowing your standards... I think the snake curvature is unnatural. And the eye is in the wrong place and obscured. Even if it is anatomically correct, it shoud be bolder and bigger. "Curb appeal" as we say. Am I picky enough?

it is not actually texturing of a snake. The mouth is external, but the rest is made purely of the source as it was, just extended and manipulated into position as I saw fit.

The border was a little bit of experimentation, as I I always say to people I dislike them, this is usually in reference to harsher harder borders, so tried to mess about with a softer idea

Also the main reason for doing this was the original without border felt and looked to harsh from the point of view of the background just ending, so in that respect, Andy I agree with you, the angles of basket and background were off quite a bit.
