Good lighting. The other is an interesting drawing but the isometric perspective and dark lines on the apple are disconcerting. The wood grain should change going around edges.

Both creative, interesting, well-made images, but I prefer this one - the other might have been stronger if there was less text, more source, and I'm still not completely clear about the tale - apple in wood? apple made of wood? VS. pyramid of blocks - simple, clear, elegant, concept and sun, dunes, lizard, and hieroglyphics sell it

Good effort on the other in how blocks are "really" made: perspective is a bit off and shadows don't quite fit. In this one, I appreciate the refacing and "unpainting" of all the blocks; for full marks, the shadow perspective and top lighting of some blocks could be better.
