Both are pretty solid. I'm guessing the other is a tornado since stuff is getting sucked into it. The transition between the edge of it and the untouched part seems a bit abrupt, as if there needed to be more dust and debris being spun out beyond the confines of the cloud. On this one, I'm loving the source usage in the foliage and the building manip is solid. Weird bit of extreme blurriness in the lower left shadows, but not enough to sway me from voting for it.

This one looks great! The other is alright but the dog in the foreground looks too blurry and that's the 1st thing i notice when i look at the chop

Even though all the pieces are not well integrated together (foreground and background especially), I'll go for this one and hope that you'll do better in the final...! The thing that bothers me in the other chop is the three weird lines in the dust cloud...! I assume they are meant to be water running down the camera lens but in my opinion they do not do any good to the chop... Anyway to good efforts...! +1

Congrats and well done to both of you! In other, the water bits, and particularly the droplets (which I thought were oddly lit stones at first) are confusing to my eye, and hurt the image a lot, although I love the added touch of the fleeing dog and children instead of adults. This one is a solid image, good manipulation and lighting, and all-around a better execution.

I prefer this one. Very aesthetic, nice ambiance & light, it looks very good! Crisp & nice details! But I feel it is not a very original composition... I feel I saw too often this kind of image. I would have liked to see more from the source. But great job! Some nice details on the other chop, but needs some adjustments. The contrast between the very sunny foreground with crisp shadows and the dark & dramatic background is maybe problematic. Some details in the dirt are confusing, the kids look like happy when I figure they are supposed to freaking out... but nice touch with the water drops, well done! Congrats for a great semi-final match! :-)
